Awesome ‘Possum is a natural science comic anthology, edited by Angela Boyle. Every comic illustrates and explains the natural world – from autobiographical experiences with nature to specific descriptions of scientific studies. In 2018, I had the privilege to create a six-page research-based comic for the 4th Volume of Awesome ‘Possum that was based on the area of research I was familiar with. My work discusses the “human filter”: species-specific and spontaneously forming tendencies in human information processing that affect and skew the way we perceive nature (pen and ink).
